Chelsea will be without star striker Didier Drogba for their opening Champions League clash as he is forced to sit out following a one-match ban from last season's semi-final. The Ivorian international was handed a one-match penalty, following an appeal, after his behaviour towards Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo at the end of Chelsea's loss to eventual European champions Barcelona.
It may be a huge test for the Blues without Drogba who has been brilliant at the start of the current season but manager Carlo Ancelotti is confident they can do a job without him against Porto.
"Dider has been going very well, he scores goals and works very hard for the team," Ancelotti said.
"But we can't think of him now, we think only of the players going on the pitch to work and play. We can play well without Didier."
