Chelsea crock Lampard: Rooney ban blow for England Euros hopes

Chelsea ace Frank Lampard says Wayne Rooney's two-match Euros suspension is a big blow for England.

The Manchester United striker is out for the opening two group games, while Lampard is out altogether due to injury.

Lamps told Absolute Radio: "I was amazed by his ability in 2004. He came into the team as a 17 or 18 year old and I've never seen someone come into a position to make it easier for you to receive the ball so well. He show's incredible ability with this bulldozer style that he's got. He is a completely special talent but when you look at the squad as a whole I mean, I could go through the team; Stevie G of course I think is a fantastic player."
