Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck admits the club didn't believe Avram Grant could take them forward long-term.

He told chelseafc.com: "He did very well, but we are trying to build a long term success story with Chelsea Football Club, it is not easy to build something where you want immediate success and long term success as well.

"The board and Roman (Abramovich) just felt that Avram was not the right guy to take us forward for the long term."
