Chelsea remain in the frame for LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham.
The Daily Mail says remain favourites, with Galaxy having agreed to a two-month loan stint with an English club.
He will almost certainly join Tottenham, although West Ham are monitoring events in case of any last-minute hitches while, despite denials from Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea cannot be completely discounted.
However, an agreement between Spurs and Galaxy is edging ever closer, with the club ready to pick up his £80,000-a-week wages.
