Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle could sign for Chelsea on Sunday.
He is now set complete his switch to Stamford Bridge in a deal which will see Belgian Kevin de Bruyne move the other way on loan.
Leverkusen general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser said: "We have reached an agreement with Chelsea.
"They are going to buy Andre Schurrle for a specific fee and, in return, they will loan De Bruyne to us for a year for free.
"I expect Chelsea to stand by what has been agreed."
The Sun says Schurrle could jet to London to put pen to paper on the move after Germany's friendly in the USA on Sunday.
