Middlesbrough are coughing up big to sign Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.
The London Evening Standard says Middlesbrough have agreed to pay an initial fee of £6m, with the potential to earn another £4m due to a series of add-ons, including the number of appearances he makes.
It is already a remarkable deal for Chelsea, who bought Bamford from Nottingham Forest for £1.5m in 2012.
The 23-year-old has not featured in the senior side once and been loaned out to six different clubs instead.
That includes Middlesbrough, where he had the most successful period of his professional career so far in the 2014-15 campaign. He scored 19 goals for the club and was named Championship Player of the Year.
