Olympique Marseille coach Didier Deschamps is in contact with Chelsea about a summer return to Stamford Bridge. The former Blues midfielder, who turned down Liverpool last season, is being lined up to succeed Carlo Ancelotti - should the Italian be shown the door by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Deschamps, despite still having over a year to run on his l'OM contract, is fed-up at Marseille and wants to cut ties at the end of the season. A lack of spending power and a poor relationship with sporting director Jose Anigo has convinced Deschamps that it is time to move on.
His minders have already been sounded out by Chelsea and talks have opened about a move to London.
After turning down Liverpool, Deschamps now will not think twice should Chelsea formalise their offer at the end of this season.
