Chelsea are in contact with the camp of Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo. The Paraguay international is in new contract talks with Benfica, but is stalling on agreeing terms as rival offers arrive.

Record says Chelsea have moved for Cardozo, but face stiff competition, including from Everton.

Chelsea are expected to bid for Cardozo in January if they cannot do a deal with Atletico Madrid for Radamel Falcao.
