Chelsea are chasing Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves. The Sunday Times says Chelsea have sounded out Alves about a summer move to Stamford Bridge.
The Brazil international is open to offers as Barça refuse to begin talks on extending his present contract, which has two seasons to run. Alves wants an increase on his £2.9m salary, a sum the 26-year-old feels does not reflect his status in the world game.
Chelsea, who competed to sign Alves from Sevilla in 2007, would be expected to match the £25m Barça initially paid for him.
