Chelsea won't allow Inter Milan a free run at Universidad de Chile defender Igor Lichnovsky.
Inter have asked 'U' to name their price for the 17 year-old, but will face competition from Chelsea should they make their interest concrete.
Chelsea's South American scout Jorge Alvial confirmed: "Igor (Lichnovsky) is a very good player. We are following him and he is in the folder of Chelsea. He is one of the young players who we can see having more projection, given the right conditions."
Lichnovsky carries a Polish passport, so he will be able to avoid any UK work permit problems should Chelsea decide to bring forward their plans for him.
