Chelsea are ready to try again this summer for Bayer Leverkusen winger Andreas Schurrle. The Daily Star Sunday says the Blues have not been put off by the fact Bayer want £25million and are also ready to offer Schurrle, 22, a new contract.
Chelsea hope to reduce their outlay by using Kevin de Bruyne as a makeweight in the deal. The former Genk midfielder, 21, has been in scintillating form on loan at Werder Bremen and Bundesliga rivals Bayer are known admirers.
Schurrle has scored six goals and produced five assists in 26 league matches this season.
