Chelsea are confident a deal for AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko remains on track.

The Daily Express says Chelsea expect to sign France international Bakayoko in the next 48 hours after a £36.7m deal agreed was agreed between the clubs.

The 22-year-old France international is set to fly into London in the next couple of days to complete a medical and sign a five-year deal.

The defensive midfielder played a starring for Monaco last season - both domestically and in Europe.

Bakayoko made 51 appearances in all competitions as the French outfit claimed their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
