Chelsea are confident clinching the signing of Rangers midfielder Billy Gilmour.

Rangers struck a £600,000 deal with the Premier League leaders last month for the 15-year-old midfielder.

Despite that, the Scottish giants had hoped to convince Gilmour to stay at Ibrox.

But the Scottish Sun reports Gilmour and his family have indicated he will join Chelsea.

Gilmour impressed on a trial spell with Chelsea earlier this season and can officially make the move when he turns 16 on June 11.
