Confidence is growing at Chelsea of clinching a deal for Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
The Sun says Chelsea are closing in on a deal worth more than £30million for Dzeko.
The Premier League champions have agreed a basic fee of around £28m for the former Manchester City forward and are now haggling over additional payments.
Talks have been ongoing over the weekend.
And the Blues are also close to securing a deal for Roma's Brazil-born Italian left-back Emerson Palmieri, 23, in a double boost for boss Antonio Conte.
Roma director Francesco Totti even joked with Bosnian Dzeko, 31, that he was London-bound as Roma boarded a train to last night's 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.
Roma want Chelsea to cough up a further £5m in additional payments for Dzeko, based on his number of appearances.
