Chelsea are battling to convince Roma striker Edin Dzeko about a return to England.
The London Evening Standard says Dzeko wants reassurances of regular football before agreeing to join Chelsea as Emerson Palmieri is set to fly to London to complete a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea want to sign both AS Roma players and will hold more talks with the Serie A club today.
The Blues are prepared to offer £44m for the duo, but Roma have asked for another £13.2m in add-ons.
Dzeko is understood to have initially reacted angrily to Roma's willingness to sell him just a month after he bought an expensive house in the city.
Brazilian left wing back Emerson is on the verge of joining Chelsea regardless, but Dzeko will take more convincing.
