Chelsea's clash with Champions League opponents Napoli could be decisive in the future of Edinson Cavani.
The London Evening Standard says Cavani joined Napoli from Palermo during the summer of 2010 and the Uruguayan has become one of the most coveted forwards in Europe.
Cavani's performances mean he is high on Chelsea's list of transfer targets as they plan for next season. Yet if Cavani helps Napoli into the last eight, Chelsea's chances of signing him would probably rest on their ability to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season. After scoring 33 goals last season, Cavani has 22 this time around, including three in the two group matches against Manchester City that brought Napoli a draw and a victory over Roberto Mancini's team.
