Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay has scuppered claims that Roberto Di Matteo will not get the manager's role next season.
Recent reports shave suggested that the Italian, who has led the Blues to victory in the FA Cup and into the Champions League final, would not be given the job next term but Gourlay has dismissed that speculation.
"Everyone on the board is available. I'm down the training ground two days a week, I travel everywhere with the club, as does the chairman and other members of the board. One thing we do do is make ourselves approachable to these guys at all levels.
"It's pure speculation. I'm not sure where it came from and we have just got to keep focused on the big game next week and not let off-field matters start to get in the way. These guys are very, very professional, as is Robbie, and we won't let these things get in our way.""Absolute speculation," he told Sky Sports News HD on the Di Matteo reports.
