Chelsea chief Kenyon has no Hughes regrets

Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon has no regrets missing out on Mark Hughes as new manager.

Hughes took the job at Manchester City just before Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Luiz Felipe Scolari and Kenyon told Chelsea TV: "I don't really want to talk about other individuals by name, Felipe is our manager. Clearly we know Mark is a very talented manager and we wish him luck.

"He would have been a popular choice but we are sure Felipe is also a popular choice. If you analyse our criteria it was always more likely to be a more experienced manager who met those requirements."
