Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon says new manager Avram Grant has exceeded expectations.

"Avram, you have to say, has exceeded people's expectations," Kenyon told the Daily Telegraph.

"[He has had] seven straight wins, [with] some big games in there. I think five or six weeks ago people were writing us off, but as of Saturday night we are three points behind in third place.

"You have to give credit where credit is due, and credit is due to the team and to Avram Grant.

"There's no time limit on this because we are talking about Chelsea being successful."
