Chelsea are prepared to challenge Manchester United for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

The Mirror says Perisic is rated at £48million – and so far United have failed to match that price.

They were thought to have turned their back on the 28-year-old after having a £35m bid rejected.

And now Chelsea are on the case.

Perisic, 28, scored against United in pre-season in Singapore.

So he could ask chief executive Ed Woodward to go back to Milan with a higher offer.
