Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck hopes they can "beat the c**p out of Arsenal" on Saturday. The Telegraph says Buck tried to side with the fans following the revolt over Stamford Bridge's future by calling for Andre Villas-Boas' side to "beat the c**p out of Arsenal" on Saturday.
Buck, who was subjected to personal attacks at the stormy meeting in front of 700 Chelsea fans, confirmed Abramovich had been quickly made aware of the outcome before issuing his plea ahead of Arsenal's visit.
"I guess on behalf of Ron [Gourlay, chief executive], myself and Mr Abramovich, obviously we are disappointed but we recognise and respect that the shareholders have spoken," he said.
"We will meet with Mr Abramovich and the rest of the board and decide what, if anything, we will do to take things forward.
"We are all Chelsea fans and I can only hope that, on Saturday, we all get together, support this club and beat the c**p out of Arsenal."
