Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck says stadium redevelopment will be considered ahead of moving away from Stamford Bridge.
Buck told chelseafc.com: "First of all, our desire is to increase the capacity of Stamford Bridge, to try and get it to 50-55,000. It is very difficult as you all know we can only exit through the one side while most stadiums have three or four exits.
"We'll run out of ideas on the stadium before we think about moving, and anyway, in the light of the credit crunch, building a new stadium is not really something anyone is considering these days."
