Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck denies Frank Arnesen's departure is linked to Ray Wilkins' controversial exit.
Football chief Arnesen announced his resignation last week.
Buck told Chelsea TV: "It is definitely inappropriate to link the two.
"Frank's departure is something that we have been talking about for several months and it is just a natural progression in Frank's life to seek a new challenge. It is not related to Ray's departure."
