Chelsea car buff Lampard fights speeding fine

Chelsea ace Frank Lampard is ready to fight a speeding fine.

The Sun reports Lampard is to fight a speeding case after a cop claimed to have clocked him flouting a 50mph limit.

Multi-millionaire Chelsea and England midfielder Lampard, 32, was caught with a laser gun in a speed trap.

Police provided him with a DVD showing how fast his motor was going.

But his lawyers are now demanding proof that the laser was properly tested before and after it was used.

Lampard, of Chelsea, West London, has pleaded not guilty to exceeding a 50mph limit and a trial date has been set for March by magistrates in Staines.

Lampard - a car lover who has appeared on Top Gear - owns a string of flashy motors including a Mercedes SL500, a Range Rover, an £80,000 Audi Q7, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and Aston Martin DB9.
