John Terry is expected to be sidelined for Chelsea's next Premier League match.
The Blues host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Friday night but will be without their captain who left the Liberty Stadium on crutches following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Swansea City.
Terry rolled his ankle in the final minutes of the match and is undergoing treatment in a bid to be fit for the tantalising meeting with Jurgen Klopp's Reds.
However, recent reports indicate that the 35-year-old faces a race against time to prove his fitness and may not be risked if he is not at 100%, opening the door for David Luiz to make his second Chelsea debut after sitting on the bench in Wales on the weekend.
