Chelsea captain Terry tips McEachran for big things

Chelsea captain John Terry is encouraged by the youngsters coming through the club's youth system.

Terry, 29, made his Blues debut way back in 1998 and needs no reminding that he was the last player to come through the ranks at Stamford Bridge.

But he is convinced 17-year-old midfielder Josh McEachran can make the big step up.

Terry revealed: "Josh is a quiet lad but he has amazing ability.

"He can open defences with one pass and he showed against Newcastle last week he can come on and change a game by demanding the ball.

"When I was first breaking into the team, I would probably hide a bit and try to feel my way in. But guys like Josh come in and want to make an impact straight away."
