Chelsea captain John Terry is set to start against West Ham in the EFL Cup.
The London Evening Standard says the 35-year-old is being earmarked to be in the starting line-up after missing the last six weeks with an ankle injury.
Terry was originally only supposed to be out for 10 days but has suffered a setback in training on more than one occasion since then.
A knock in practice last week meant that he was only named on the bench for Chelsea's 4-0 win over Manchester United yesterday.
But Conte is prepared to make changes for the derby at London Stadium and give Terry a chance to impress in the new system.
