Chelsea will face Barcelona in the UEFA Youth League final on Monday.
They edged a battling UEFA Youth League semi-final encounter with FC Porto to win 5-4 on penalties and book a date with Barcelona.
The Blues trailed 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining before Josh Grant produced a captain's moment by levelling to send the contest to a shootout conclusion.
Grant told chelseafc.com: "We're over the moon.
"It wasn't the way we wanted to go through but in football sometimes that's what happens. We dug in deep and managed to get the win because we showed massive character. We were on the wrong end of a penalty shootout in the Checkatrade Trophy semi-final earlier in the season so to go that extra step this time is a fantastic feeling.
"We didn't get to be in this competition last season so we still feel the trophy is ours to defend. We'll be looking to go into the final and get another win."
