Chelsea scored four times as they coasted past Cardiff City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge to book a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. A dominant second half showing saw of the Championship outfit who had gone in at the break level.

Didier Drogba finished clinically after only two minutes but Cardiff battled back and deservedly levelled on 34 minutes when Michel Chopra was allowed a free near post header.

Drogba then turned provider allowing Michael Ballack to restore the home side's advantage just after the restart as the Blues increased the tempo.

Daniel Sturridge then made it three and just before the end substitute Salomon Kalou headed home Paulo Ferreira's cross to seal an emphatic victory.
