Chelsea break off Braga talks over Orlando Sa deal

Chelsea have dropped talks over Sporting Braga striker Orlando Sa.

The Daily Star says Chelsea have ditched a move for Portuguese striker Orlando Sa after Sporting Braga placed a £6m price on the player's head.

Scolari was seriously impressed with Sa during a week spent training with Chelsea's first team.

But flamboyant Braga president Antonio Salvador yesterday put paid to the Portugal Under-21 international's hopes of a move to Stamford Bridge by upping his fee to £6m from £1m.

The price was too much for Chelsea to spend on a 20-year-old and left angry Sa saying: "It was an enormous opportunity."
