Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas will not give up on signing Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
The Daily Star says Chelsea are still determined to land Modric from Tottenham - despite splashing £23.5m on Valencia star Juan Mata.
Chelsea have offered £27 million for Modric, although they are also ready to offer Yossi Benayoun as a makeweight in the deal.
Manager Harry Redknapp yesterday claimed Spurs chairman Levy was set to offer Modric, 25, a new deal that would better his current £55,000 a week.
