Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas doesn't want to break up his squad in January.
AVB says now is not the right time to make major changes.
He said: "Some players might make a transfer request but we might not accept it. It would be a bad sign if people wanted to leave in this way because it is difficult to trade this club for somewhere better.
"We could call ourselves incompetent if we look to make radical changes in January just because the transfer market opens.
"Funds have never been a problem here but apart from a central defender, I don't know if we will be adding anyone else."
