Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas continues to wield the axe at Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail says Villas-Boas has started his Chelsea reign by scrapping his team's opening pre-season friendly against Vitesse Arnhem.
The game was planned for Saturday week in Holland but Villas-Boas insisted it was too soon for his players who are due to return for training on Monday and refused to compromise to his meticulously planned pre-season schedule.
Villas-Boas will now take charge of the Blues for his first game in a friendly at Portsmouth on July 16.
