Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has moved to assure goalkeeper Petr Cech of his confidence in him.

Villas-Boas is adamant Cech will be the club's No.1 for years to come.

AVB said: "Yes, I see Petr as our long-term keeper and we are trying to reach an agreement with him.

"We haven't opened official talks yet but he knows there is an interest in renewing his deal."
