Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas admits they face a massive for their Premier League opener at Stoke City.
Stoke was one of the places The Blues faltered in the run-in last season, managing only a 1-1 draw at the beginning of April when they needed a win.
And Villas-Boas believes the cauldron of The Britannia Stadium against Tony Pulis's up and at 'em battlers is the perfect place for his Premier League baptism. He even labelled Stoke "magnificent".
"This first challenge is important," he said. "Stoke is one of the magnificent teams of the Premiership.
"They finished in the bottom half last season but managed 10 wins at home and have a good empathy with their public in an emotional stadium, so it's a good challenge to have.
"It's a test for all of us, to a certain amount Stoke play this way, and we know that.
"Hopefully we can play our own way and score one more goal than our opponents."
"Our priority is to win, and we'd like to do that with a certain flair. Our game looked slow last year and we're trying to raise the speed of our ball possession.
"The expectation at this club is to win games, but there's nothing else that drives me other than to win games."
