Chelsea boss still learning despite comfortable three points

"I'm feeling satisfied and happy because my team played very well and we won the first game 4-0," Scolari told Sky Sports.

"It's important that I see my team playing well on the field and I like to see three points.

"I learned some things in the second half that we need to be more patient and touch the ball more.

"We were sometimes expecting more goals, but when you are winning 3-0 you need to try to change the ball and to keep the ball more.

"For us, it's not all the time about trying to go for goal, but 4-0 is more important than the lessons I learned today."

The Brazilian also had praise for summer signing Deco, who capped his Chelsea debut with the fourth goal.

"He played very well," added Scolari.

"As a team they played the same as the other players. If we play as a group we have a good team.

"Deco has different characteristics to Lampard, different characteristics to Ballack and it's important for us."
