Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is chasing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Moutinho.

The People says Moutinho, 21, is an attacking midfield player who was given his international debut by Scolari and became a key player in his Portugal team, alongside Chelsea new boy Deco.

The Moutinho development confirms Chelsea have lost hope of Frank Lampard agreeing a deal. But they will not allow him to team up with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan for less than £14m.
