Jose Mourinho is refraining from casting his gaze much further than the Champions League group stage.
Mourinho's Chelsea team defeated NK Maribor 6-0 in their third Group G fixture on Tuesday night to remain top of the standings with seven points.
Chelsea are being tipped to go far in Europe's premier club competition this season but Mourinho was not getting ahead of himself after a flawless display against the Slovenians at Stamford Bridge.
"We have played three matches," he said.
"To be in the final you have to play 12 and qualify for the final. Long way to go.
"I think it's premature to speak about that. We are not even qualified for the next phase.
"Step by step. First objective is to qualify, second objective is to finish first in the group."
Chelsea next take on Maribor in Slovenia on November 5 before heading to Schalke three weeks later prior to their final group stage fixture at home against Sporting Lisbon on December 10.
