Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains hopeful of signing AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao in January. The Mirror says Chelsea have held secret talks about a £30million January move for Porto striker Jackson Martinez.
Mourinho is desperate to improve his striking options, and would like another Colombian - Monaco's Radamel Falcao.
Falcao was on Mourinho's wanted list when he returned to the Blues in the summer and he was confident of getting a deal done with Atletico Madrid, but Monaco's millions won the transfer tug-of-war.
The west Londoners still have not given up on signing him, and it would appear international teammate Martinez is a back-up option.
