Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will work through his shortlist of goalkeeper signings if Asmir Begovic turns him down.
Chelsea are offering £8 million for the Stoke City keeper, who is reluctant about moving to Cobham as backup for Thibaut Courtois.
Mourinho has demanded that the club sign a top quality replacement for Petr Cech after being overruled in his bid to keep the 33-year or only sell him overseas.
The Blues have considered Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green, Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli and Getafe's Vicente Guaita for their deputy goalkeeping position, but Begovic is the favoured choice of Mourinho.
