Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho won't rule out a superstar signing being made in January.

Chelsea are monitoring a number of different targets, including a large number of English players, but the decision on the timing of potential bids has not been taken.

Although Mourinho insists he will not make any recommendations for signings, the Chelsea manager is willing to accept reinforcements if the decision is taken by the football club board.

He said: "Of course, yes (to a superstar signing). But not because I'm not happy or don't trust my players, or that I think only a superstar will help us reach our objectives.

"We believe in ourselves, we trust ourselves. I'd be more than happy to go with this group to the end. I always look to players. But, in the last week, if every name connected to us was true we would have to build a new training centre because there are already 126."
