Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho has spent two days talking tactics with some of his European counterparts at UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

Mourinho was attending the UEFA Elite Coaches Forum, where matters of mutual interest and the development of the game are debated.

The list of names who joined Mourinho included Arsenal's Arsene Wenger, Rangers manager Walter Smith, Roberto Mancini from Inter Milan, Brazilian legend Zico - currently coaching at Fenerbahce - Gheorghe Hagi, who is in charge at Steaua Bucharest, and Sevilla's Juande Ramos.

The two-day forum is now in its ninth year and focuses on technical trends, tactical tracking systems to assist coaches, refereeing issues and top-level training methods.

The meetings have often produced various recommendations which UEFA has taken on board.
