Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho still wants another striker signing, despite Samuel Eto'o's arrival. The Mail on Sunday says he snapped up Eto'o from Anzi last week and, even at the age of 32, will regard the Cameroon striker as his first-choice forward.
The pair worked well together at Inter Milan. Although time is short, Mourinho would feel much happier challenging for honours with an established No 9.
He wants inquiries made about Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema, his main striker at Real Madrid last season.
Two bids for Manchester United's Wayne Rooney were turned down and Mourinho realised a third bid would be futile.
