Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to listen to offers for midfielder Michael Ballack.

Mourinho "is willing to let him leave if he receives the right offer - but nobody has asked him" a source at Stamford Bridge told the Observer.

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has admitted his interest in the Germany international, but a club director declared last night: "No offer will be made for Michael Ballack.

"He is the coach, not the one who makes the decisions at the club. We do not plan to make an offer. It is not going to happen."
