Chelsea are ready to up their bid for AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi. The Daily Express says De Rossi had also piqued the interest of Manchester City, though Manuel Pellegrini seems to be intent on capturing Pablo Osvaldo and Alvaro Negredo.

The Blues however were already pondering making a £10m bid for the 84-cap Italy international but it seems Jose Mourinho is ready to table a bigger offer to land his man.

Reports on the continent have surfaced indicating that Chelsea are willing to up their bid from £10m to £15m.
