Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho rates the Champions League as a higher quality competition than the World Cup.
Mourinho was asked if the Champions League has surpassed the World Cup in importance.
"'I think the World Cup is always by the social point of view something different that any other competition. For me, Olympic Games and World Cup are a different dimension in terms of countries and society. It's a global phenomenon.
"But the best football, I believe, is in the Champions League with the most powerful clubs, having all the best players. Every big player is in the Champions League and sometimes not every big player is in the World Cup. The best football is in the club competition, I think."
