Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is happy Fernando Torres has avoid a retrospective ban for his clash with Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen. The FA ruled on Tuesday they would take no further action, a decision branded "a disgrace" and "almost farcical" by Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.
However, Mourinho hit back today as he said: "The game for Fernando was more than enough because the second yellow card came from simulation. The FA defended the principles and the values of English football."
When asked about Villas-Boas's comments, Mourinho said: "I don't comment on opinions. I have my own opinions and my opinion is simple, English football is English football. The Premier League is the most loved league worldwide and one of the reasons is because people enjoy aggression, they enjoy emotion. They don't enjoy simulation."
