Chelsea boss Mourinho pushes for reunion with Real Madrid's Khedira

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is seeking a reunion with Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. The Daily Star says fresh after completing the £27m signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona yesterday, Mourinho is keen to further strengthen his midfield with the addition of German ace Khedira.

Mourinho brought the 27-year-old to Real in 2010 during his spell in the top job at the Bernabeu.

And now he wants him to form an enviable defensive midfield partnership with Stamford Bridge enforcer Nemanja Matic.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is thought be keen on Khedira as he looks to add steel to his side.
