Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had praise for beaten opponents Everton.
Mourinho admitted afterwards it was the first time this term has mustered a last minute winner - and that Everton's approach to the contest caused his side problems.
He said: "I don't remember a team being champions without a couple of victories in the last minute. Every time I have won a league title I had a couple of matches that my side won in the last minute. It was the first time this season that has happened and it was a very difficult match against a different Everton - and I mean that as a compliment.
" Everton were very well organised defensively, they let us have the ball, defended very well and used Romelu Lukaku to attack the space when they could. They were a difficult opponent so I'm very happy with the points. Petr Cech touched the ball twice but in first half it was a very good save and in the second half it was a superb save."
