Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is shelving his bid for St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma.

The People says Mourinho wants the Saint-Etienne defender and is red-hot favourite to land him when he moves on.

But the Stamford Bridge outfit have decided to shelve plans to buy Zouma until the summer - and stick with Gary Cahill, David Luiz and John Terry.

Chelsea and Zouma are happy with the timing - although it could yet change if there is a major bid for Luiz.
